If you must cover your face, why not mask it with something fabulous made by someone who really deserves your business? Masks by Tine are the high quality homemade face coverings produced by Nanaimo health care worker Marie-Christine Mortier. What began as a labour of love — making masks for the seniors at the residence where she works and giving over 100 masks to her community’s homeless — ended-up being a part time cottage industry, since people began clamoring for her creations once they saw them. The mask pictured here was chosen to grace the poster of the World Health Organization’s #WearAMaskChallenge promotion.
