Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Makes 24 pieces
24 Medium-size fresh Ontario strawberries, hulled
1/4 cup (50 mL) light cream cheese, softened
1 tbsp (15 mL) finely chopped Ontario jalapeño pepper
1 tsp (5 mL) grated lime zest
1/2 tsp (2 mL) chili powder
1/4 cup (50 mL) finely minced fresh Ontario parsley or coriander
Wash strawberries and pat dry. Use tiny spoon to hollow out berries. Set aside.
In small bowl, stir together cream cheese, jalapeño pepper, lime zest and chili powder. Taste and add more jalapeño and chili powder if desired.
Using piping bag with large star tip, pipe cheese mixture into strawberries to fill centre. Dip cheese end of berry into parsley or coriander. Refrigerate for up to 1 hour before serving.
